Callout to assist remote evacuation with SAS

Sat, 12th Apr 2025

At 16:52 on the 10th April 2025, Police Scotland asked Moffat Mountain Rescue Team to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) in the rescue of a male with a leg injury related to tree cutting in a remote location near Collin, Dumfries.

14 team members responded to the callout to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service, who were already on scene assessing and treating the casualty, to safely extract the casualty from their location.

On arrival the team leader was able to provide input to aid a safe extraction while the rest of the team were gathering nearby.

We wish them well in their recovery.
