Tinto Callout 31 May 2021
Mon, 31st May 2021At 1445 on 31 May 2021 Police Scotland requested the assistance of the team to help Scottish Ambulance Service with the rescue a lady on Tinto with a suspected broken leg. 10 team members with the team’s landrover and Volkswagen ambulance responded and made their way towards Tinto.
A rescue helicopter Rescue 199 from Prestwick was also assigned and fortunately for the team was able to winch the casualty from the location and transport her to Glasgow for treatment.
Team members on scene helped the ambulance team on the hill recover their equipment back to the car park.
The team wish the casualty a speedy recovery
